Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all of you daddy's out there!

The tradition for birthdays and father's day/mother's day is to let the one celebrating sleep in -- all of you with kiddos know that is the best present of all. So -- this morning after Nick and Mia woke up, we got in the car and ran out to get coffee and donuts (dave's fav) and then came back to celebrate his special day! We went to the Splash Pad (its an amazing water playground - pics to come later) Regardless of the cloudy weather, we had fun and Nick loved it. We also celebrated yesterday at the Children's Musuem with Breakfast with Clifford. It was a great weekend and we are all sleepy heads!

Nick's favorite room in the musuem - and he LOVED the city bus!

too bad my eyes are closed -- but, it was the only family pic of the day... so oh well!

Keaten with "tummy yummy's" AND, both boys painted their own faces... teehee!

OH WOW -- Clifford the Big Red Dog - and guess what?? Neither boy was scared! Amazing!

Wearing Clifford's ears upside down! Silly boys...

Soccer, swimming lessons and fun sunshiney playdates are still going strong... pics to come later this week...

And... last but not least - Happy Father's Day to the love of my life, David. You are a strong, loving, honest, and playful daddy. We know you work really hard with work and school - and you always give us 100% too - I dont know how you do it! Mia and Nick are learning so much from you. And always remember both of their first words were "da da da!"

We love you!

Let the good times roll...

It's me, Mia~
brrr... what in the world is going on out there today? It's June for goodness sake. It was 50' today! Yick. But - no complaining allowed, since we enjoyed the entire week OUTSIDE with all of our friends. Mommy promises to get back to her real posts soon - but for now - please enjoy the pictures from the last week...

Uncle Kyle holding me - while Nick and Keaten opened up their presents from their last birthday party at Grammie's house! We had a full house over there - Auntie Pammy and Uncle Dick; Aunt Stacy and Uncle Dave; Great Grandma Elaine and Great Grandpa Earl; Great Grandma Donna; Uncle Roo; Cousins Susan and Natalie (and her boyfriend Jonathon) and of course Auntie Nicki and Uncle Kyle; and Grammie and Grandpa. It was so much fun - and really noisy too - thanks to the birthday boys!

Daddy and me - just after singing Happy Birthday 2 times to Nick and Keaten!

My cousin Keaten eating a special birthday cupcake - he is officially 3 years old now!

Nick's special birthday cupcake - he is a big boy - and I love him so much!

Look at this birthday cake - holy crow. That is ALL I can say. In 2 months I get to have my very own special 1 year birthday cake. Yummmmmy. The boys loved this cake!

And... soccer season has officially started! Do you see my boys over on the right of the picture? Yep, Keaten and Nick are on the Gray "junior kicker" soccer team. Um, guys - you know you are supposed to kick the ball -- not carry it, right?

My daddy and my uncle Kyle cheering on Nick on the side line -- "GO NICK"

And, here I am - Im their biggest fan! G-O! G-O!

Well, if you remember last soccer season -- things did not go too well for my big brother. But, this year - WOW O WOW. He had on the best listening ears in the whole world. He listened really well to the coach and followed directions! And Keaten -- he was awesome! He kept up with the bigger boys - and only once laid down on the field (just for a short rest!) Tee-hee! After their game, we went to DQ to celebrate. Yay, I love soccer Fridays! Nick's friend Julia plays too -- we gotta find out what color team she is on so we can cheer for her too!

Ahhh. Grace and Nick swinging on a really cool swing. We had a great day playing with Grace and Addie at our house and then at Shamrock Park. We love our best friends!

More park! Yep, every day we were at a different park this week! Here Nick is with Noah, Jax and Kenna... Mommy's friends from Juut got together with the kids. Little Leo had already had to go home for a nap here... But, wow. Did those kids have a blast! We cant wait to play again soon! Kenna and Jax are getting a trampoline - woohooo -- that will be great entertainment! And, Noah - well he and Nick could have been friends forever - they both are really into cars and trucks! Mommy loved seeing Mari, Keaton (same name as my cousin!!), and Barbara...

Hi Gabriel! Hi Amy! We took a fun walk down to Melissa and Rylan's park - and had a picnic and played in the sand and sun.

Look at Nick! He is wearing his "big brother" shirt....I have the best big brother - he just loves being my best friend!

Me and Rylan - hanging out - being happy go lucky, as usual! Mommy loves seeing Melissa and Amy - they are always giggling and talking a mile a minute. They are so silly!

And - we also played with Julia this week too - but silly Mommy didnt have her camera out... Oh well. We will see her this week and be sure to update with some new pictures!

Mommy wanted me to tell you that she feels so lucky to have such good friends - especially with kids the same ages as me and Nick. What a wonderful way to spend the day - in the sun, outdoors with such great company. Looking forward to another great week of playdates - and then on Friday Auntie Pammy is coming up to babysit Nick and me - so Mommy can go to a movie and out to lunch with Auntie Nicki!

Nick's last day at Jack and Jill is tomorrow. Then he has a little break and will start preschool very soon! And... good news to report from his endocrinologist (phew, that is a big word) - we believe he is doing just fine. We will continue to watch his thyroid - but other than that, we were given a clean bill of health. What a relief!

In other great news -- Auntie Nicki is all done teaching for the year! Summer vacation is here - so we get to play with Keaten a lot!

Life is so good.

Love, Mia
