Move over Justin Morneau!
Step aside Michael Cuddyer... We got a hot one here... Nick is excellent at T-Ball... He cracks the ball way out into the out field and is doing great running bases. I think, if I may predict the future here, that this kiddo is going to play some serious little league... His team is called the Purple Lions! Keaten is also playing - and his team is called the Red Strawberries! He is so cute - he runs around with his Twins Hat on backwards! Love it!

Go Nick Go! Oh, and looky here.. Mia is standing ALL BY HERSELF TOO! Yay! Now, when you clap and say "YAY Mia!" She smiles and claps for herself! So cute!
The best 4th of July weekend EVER
Who's turn to update? Well, since it was Mia's first 4th of July, we will let her fill you in... And, pictures are in no particular order - its just that I dont want to take the time to move them all into order!
So, as you know, it was my first big 4th of july holiday. And, its possible that it may be my favorite too... I know, we'll see... I know Christmas is fun, I hear birthdays are way cool too... But for now, this one is the bestest. Here I am with the cutest boys around... all matching in our holiday gear... As you can see, I am tuckered out. I missed my nap and had lots of fresh air and sunshine... so I am out of it! My brother and cousin, on the other hand, are wired up - they had lots of sugar and swam most of the day. They took turns jumping off the dock into the water -- and boy oh boy, they are brave!

Here is Mommy and Auntie Nicki fishing... Mommy is the only one that didnt catch a fish. Nick and Keaten caught about 6 each... I told Mommy not to worry, I just know in a couple of weeks when we are back up North, she will catch a few then! And, looky looky... You can sort of see Auntie Nick's baby bump! Yep, that's right! She is having a new little Frase in early Decemeber... We will find out if I will be the only girl soon enough... either way, we are so excited!
Here I am walking on the dock with Grammie... I love love love walking around! Pretty soon, I will be going all over all by myself!

Here is my Uncle Kyle and Nick on the pontoon boat on Round Lake... Captain Nick was driving us all over the lake!
One of our stops for swimming...

Keaten and Grandpa cruising us around...
Nick's question of the day (again...) "Did I catch a fish yet? Nope." On this day, we didnt catch a thing! But -- those fish better watch out... we will be back soon!

My Uncle and Auntie enjoying the sun and breeze! They taught my Mommy how to fish... she had only been fishing a couple of times before, but by the end of the weekend she could put the leech on all by herself. Now if only she could catch a fish, right??
Grammie and her angels... Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo...
And, yes. I did fall asleep, life jacket and all... But it was just so comfy with the waves rocking the boat, all snuggled up in Daddy's arms... Ahhhh. Makes me sleepy just looking at it!
Back inside to watch a little TV before heading back outside!
Sparklers! Wow, I totally missed out on these... Guess you have to be 3 or something. But they look really cool!

We had such a wonderful weekend... Thank you Grammie and Grandpa for having us up for the long weekend. We loved all the yummy food and activities you planned for us. Cant wait to go back soon. Nick's favorite part was "ALL OF IT!" My favorite part was playing with Grammie and Grandpa... and I really love Grandpa's watch! Mommy and Daddy's favorite part was the boat ride and swimming in the lake - and of course all of the delicious food!
Thanks again guys! We love you!

Almost July!
We sure are catching up now... we are almost to July... phew!
A cute picture of Grace and Nick -- taking a break after picnic lunch for a quick photo op...
Some serious girl stuff going on here... Addie and Mia both want the cell phone! Katie, we are in so much trouble already! Hehe...
Daddy and Mia at Chuck E Cheese (for the zillionth birthday party this summer!) This was our nephew Daniel's 6th birthday... I just cant believe how fast these kids grow up. When I was little people would always say stuff like that to me... "oh my, how you've grown...etc" But now, I totally get it... A few months in Nick's case, and sometimes in Mia's case - a few weeks makes a difference!
Nick and Daniel -- Daniel has on his special Chuck E Cheese Birthday medal... oooh la la!
And here is a special photo... My cousin Jamie who lives in South Dakota was in town for a mini Haywood side family reunion. This is her little boy Everett; he was born in November, so he is just a little bit younger than Mia. Mia MUST stand... most of the time... she is very resistant to sitting for the most part. She wants to be up and either jumping or having someone help her walk! She is Miss Independent! Nick is loving having both of the babies to play with... he is so good with little kids! It was a fun evening with great food and drinks and lots of laughs!

Shamrock Rocks
Shamrock park ROCKS! It is a couple mile walk through the Nature Reserve or a quick 5 minute drive away... Ive mentioned it a couple of times before with previous posts... but it is just so much fun that we keep going back! Morgan and Nick really like going to the park together... and they both love Chipotle's Guacamole and chips... so what better combo than 'parking' it and going to lunch! Plus, it gives me and Angel time to catch up!

The 'cuteness quotient' is out of control here...

me and the boys
Peek-a-boo! It's me, Mia.
Here I am playing peek-a-boo with my Mommy and Nick! I pull the hat down over my eyes, and they yell out: "where's Mia?" and I pull the hat up and smile really big!
Here is Nick - he is making me laugh - like usual! We have been spending a lot of time outside, playing in the pool, going on walks, running through sprinklers, and reading out under the tree. We have even been able to have lots of picnic lunches AND dinners outside! Sunshine makes my mommy and daddy really happy. We all have some good tans and Mommy has lots of freckles!

Here I am with my boyfriend, Rylan. Isnt he the cutest!? I love to go swimming with him. I splash lots of water around and he giggles. Mommy said I can wear this bikini while my belly is still chunky monkey... hmmm... wonder what that means!?

Playing with Rylan is really fun. Now that we "notice" each other, we smile at each other and share toys... Nick thinks Ry's mommy, Melissa is really great. When we were going to see them last week he said, "I just love Melissa! She is so nice and so pretty!" I think he may have a teeny tiny crush on her! Heheeee....

Tisk Tisk
Uh Oh Spaghetti O's... Its been a while. Again. So - Im going to do a series of short posts to update ya'll on our last few weeks!
Nick here...
Im a lobster. Wait, Im a fish. No. No - Im a dolphin. Yep, that's it! Well, anyways, I like swimming lessons. A LOT. I am cool with getting my face and eyes wet, most of the time. I like to jump off of the side of the pool and go down the slide. My class is super fun - I take my lessons at the Shoreview Community Center. Daddy and Mommy promise that one time we can play on the bigger side of the pool... but not until after I pass this swimming session!
Mommy says, sorry that the pictures are grainy - its hard to get good shots in the pool area for some reason. This picture is of the 'big kid' side...
Mia comes to watch me swim. She is always there to support me in all of my fun summer activities! She is kinda sweaty here - Mia does not like to be hot or cold (hmmm. who does that remind you of? MOMMY! They both like to be 'just right'.) But, Mia is hot because well, they make the pool air nice and warm for US swimmers!
Here I am with my class and my teacher, Stephanie. We have so much fun pouring water all over each other and practicing floating! We even get to "dive" for treasure... which are rings that are in the shallow end of the pool - we can kinda reach them with out having to go completely under the water... shhhh.... Im a work in progress!

Like my Lightening Mc Queen Cars swim shorts? I love them!
And, my favorite part of the lesson! Going down the slide at the end! I love it! But, from now on, I promise to go feet first.
